Thursday, March 11th, 2010 The jury is still out on whether technology in the classroom directly improves student achievement, but some educators in Oregon say devices such as SMART boards, iPods and laptops help better engage and interest their students in the learning process. "Technology doesn't teach," one district's instructional technology coach said. "It's just another tool in a teacher's bag of tricks. But it might help reach kids who weren't being impacted."
