K12HSN: Technology Refresh Update
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Once the testing is complete and the new 7200 Cisco routers are in production, the old routers will be "decommissioned" and returned to Cisco for a sizeable rebate on the purchase price of the new routers.

The review of new bids on the K12HSN/CENIC Form 470 circuits, along with a review of current utilization reports, will assist K12HSN in establishing the list of locations that will be upgraded next.

In addition to information on what currently exists, K12HSN is also requesting that County Office, District, or other Node Site staff members review and update the connectivity information found at http://datalink.k12hsn.org. By doing so, you will help the program anticipate the growth at the school and district level that is currently planned.

If you have questions related to the Technology Refresh Plan implementation, please call Jeff Enz at (760) 312-6158 or email him at jenz@icoe.org
