Calaxy Assets: A Customizable Solution

Custom Fields
There are 3 different types of fields you can create, text, drop-down list or a date.
You can have as many custom fields as you like.

To add a custom field:

  • Click on the Custom Field tab
  • Click "Add Custom Field"
  • Select the Type of field: Text, List or Date
  • Under Label, type the name of your custom field
  • You may choose to add a description for that custom field
  • Hit Submit

    If you created a list custom field, the following steps will show you how to enter the values for your drop-down list.

  • On the Custom Field page, click the pen icon Edit Iconto update the list you've just created
  • You will be able to add the different values for that list under Options

    Add New Option

  • Type a value for your custom field and click "Add"
  • Repeat until you are done inputting your drop-down list options.
  • When you are done, click Submit to update your custom field.


    Status List
    The status list is also fully customizable.
    When setting up your inventory, you can define the status list with your own terms.
    A status may be something like surplus, discarded, etc.

    To define the status list: 

  • Click on the Status tab
  • Click "Add Status"
  • Type a Status Name
  • You may choose to add a description for that status
  • Hit Submit


    Categories
    Categories are also fully customizable.
    When setting up your inventory, you can define your own categories.
    Categories may be used to indicate the type of asset: furniture, book, hardware, software, etc

    To create your categories: 

  • Click the Categories tab
  • Click "Add Category"
  • Type a Category Name
  • You may choose to add a description for that category
  • Hit Submit
