Teacher Librarian Videoconference Network
Sunday, June 8th, 2008
Throughout the United States, credentialed Teacher Librarians, Media Specialists, Library Media Specialists, etc... are often the keepers of the videoconferencing equipment. The Teacher Librarians and Media Specialists are often the ones that schedule the use of the equipment in the classroom and support its implementation. However they commonly observe that videoconferencing has not realized its full academic potential.
Teacher Librarians, Media Specialist, and Teacher Technologists have an special opportunity within K-12 education to advance the effective use of Videoconferencing in the classroom. Additionally, we have the opportunity to help organize dynamic, digital professional learning communities (or video communities of practice).
