The New York Times has posted an interactive graphic of Olympic Medal Counts from 1896 to 2004. In tag cloud format, you can view the number of medals received by each country. Look at 1980 and 1984 - what questions might this raise in the minds of our students? This kind of interactive tool might be a great way to have students generate and then test hypotheses about world political events.

And it's just plain cool :)
