I Feel A Need, The Need for A Feed

RSS feed icon RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

 

In edZone, RSS feeds provide an easy way to gather and display information from a variety of sources. You may choose to subscribe to an RSS feed to be aware of the new edZone resources posted:

arrow  on a specific topic,

arrow  by a specific user,

arrow  in a specific edZone application,

arrow in a specific album,

arrow  etc…

 

You will notice the orange RSS feed icon across the edZone applications. By subscribing to these RSS feeds, content will be delivered to you as it becomes available, helping you to keep up with information in an automated manner.

 

To read the feed, you will need a type of software called an aggregator or “feed reader”

 

If you do not already have an aggregator, several online services are available, including:

  www.bloglines.com  
arrow 
www.google.com/reader
arrow 
my.yahoo.com/

arrow and more...

How to subscribe to an RSS feed: 

The process of subscribing to an RSS feed involves four easy steps.

 1- Determine which sections of edZone are of interest to you

 2- Click on the “Subscribe to Feed” link

 3- Copy the RSS URL into your aggregator.

4-  Open your aggregator on a periodic basis and see if any new content has been added to edZone.
