Description
Students worked in small groups to create rhymes, songs and skits for a multiplication fact family. For example, students wrote rhymes or raps for the 4’s (4x2, 4x3, 4x4, etc.). They then produced either the lyrics or script, reviewed by Ms. Montejano. Students recorded their edited songs using an iPod and a Griffin iTalk voice recorder. They could also videotape a skit if they wanted to incorporate more visuals or dramatics. The songs were imported into iTunes; the videos were imported into iMovie and all were transferred to the class iPods for students to view and listen to for review and enrichment.

Student Learning Outcomes
Students will learn their multiplication facts with automaticity and be able to build a stronger foundation in math, giving them more confidence and efficiency when solving math problems that involve more than one process, like multi-digit multiplication or long division.

Students will learn to use technology as tools to support the curriculum, through hands-on learning with video cameras, various programs in Mac, like Garage Band,iPhoto, and iMovie. The products of their learning will be the videos and songs they produce using Video iPods to view and listen to what they have created.
