Laura Rodriguez was appointed Senior Policy Director at the State Board of Education by Governor Newsom in December 2022. She currently staffs the State Board of Education in the areas of assessment and broadband. Laura has twenty-five years of experience in K-12 and higher education policy. Prior to joining the State Board of Education staff, Laura served as Senior Director of Government Relations for a non-profit educational organization and served as a Legislative Director for Assemblymember Barbara Matthews. Laura is also a member of the Inside California Education Advisory Board.
